Semakin lama kayu jati semakin berkualitas dan mengeluarkan minyak alamnya. Untuk mendapatkan kayu jati tua, rumah-rumah tua yang sudah rusak dibongkar untuk diambil seluruh materialnya mulai dari balok, papan, pintu, kusen, usuk dan bagian-bagian lain yang masih bisa digunakan.

Tersedia dalam beberapa macam ukuran seperti : 12x12x250 cm, 13x13x300 cm, 15x15x350 cm, 17x17x350 cm, 20x20x375 cm dan beberapa ukuran special seperti 12x15x400 cm, 16x23x450 cm dan 22x22x400 cm. Balok-balok ini digunakan untuk membuat struktur atau dipecah menjadi bagian yang lebih kecil sebagai bahan furniture.
